2001 – Antique Sicilian Maiolica in Malta

Antiche Maioliche Siciliane a Malta

The Antique Sicilian Maiolica in Malta exhibition was a joint venture between the Foundation and the Istituto Luigi Storzo of Caltagirone, which had the opportunity to travel to Sicily after showing in Malta.

The exhibition consisted of 114 vibrant pharmacy jars, carefully selected from the abundant surviving pieces of maiolica found in Malta.

The bilingual colour catalogue raisonne, published in English and Italian to complement the exhibition, is a treasure trove of expert research from both Maltese and Italian contributors.
