1992 - 'ANTIQUE MALTESE CLOCKS'


Patrimonju's first exhibition, held in 'The Great Hall' of the Auberge de Provence, Valletta, was dedicated to the Maltese clock. Seventy-three examples of the wall-mounted domestic clock were displayed together with a selection of mantel and grandfather types. Also exhibited were various clock movements including one of a turret clock, various sundials and a full-scale diorama of a fully equipped clockmaker's workshop of the period.

A full colour illustrated hardbound catalogue raisonne entitled 'Antique Maltese Clocks' was published to complement the exhibition.
