1997 - 'THE THEATRE MUSEUM'

In October 1997 Patrimonju set up 'Il-Muzew tat-Teatru', on behalf of the Manoel Theatre. This small but interesting museum covers the history of theatre in Malta. The museum, located within the Manoel Theatre Complex in Valletta, receives a large number of visitors on a regular basis and highlights the historical and cultural value of theatre in Malta.



A publication entitled 'The Theatre in Malta" accompanied the opening of the Museum. It provides the reader with a historical background to the building of the two national theatres and the history of performances in Malta.
