In this publication the history of jewellery in Malta is revealed. In compiling this study, the author has made extensive use of primary sources to delineate the art of jewellery, its social history and trade practices. This is the first study of its kind to be published in Malta. This publication consists of two parts, with the first containing essays on historical aspects of jewellery in Malta, while the second part is devoted to analytical case studies of a number of jewellery items.
