As part of our ongoing exhibition Burning Waters, Fondazzjoni Patrimonju Malti is hosting a public conference exploring the artistic, philosophical, and material dialogues at the heart of Burning Waters, our current exhibition connecting the work of Arcangelo Sassolino with that of Victor Pasmore. Taking place at the University of Malta’s Valletta Campus, the event brings together artists, scholars, and cultural practitioners for a morning of discussion and reflection.
Organised by Fondazzjoni Patrimonju Malti (FPM) in collaboration with the Department of Art and Art History at the University of Malta, the event brings together Arcangelo Sassolino, curator Keith Sciberras, Victor Pasmore Gallery editor Giulia Privitelli, and Arts Council Malta’s Internationalisation Executive, Romina Delia, alongside scholars and practitioners from Malta and beyond.
Through conversation and critical exchange, Burning Waters opens a space for reflection on the affinities between Sassolino’s sculptural investigations and Pasmore’s enduring vision of abstraction, inviting new perspectives on artistic experimentation and its philosophical undercurrents.
This event is supported by the UM Gallery of Art and sponsored by Arts Council Malta and the University of Malta.
